In an effort to honor her parents’ careers, Olivia decided to adopt the stage name Wilde as an homage to Irish playwright Oscar Wilde. After high school in Andover, Massachusetts at the Phillips Academy, Wilde was set to enroll at Bard College, but instead, she moved to LA to follow her passion for acting.

One of her first jobs was at a casting agency in 2002. After a brief stint, she had numerous jobs along the way until she was asked by casting director Mali Finn – her boss at the time – to audition for a plum role.
